My PTSD!!!

globalCupcake44 December 10th, 2015

I have been having PTSD ever since high school. The minute I was thinking of all the things that have happened to me because of the trauma I have faced has really put a lot of pressure on me. Sometimes all the pressure is to much for my head. Things come up and people I see just makes my mind think so obsolete.

I sometimes need to go into that place where I can just be myself. Just be me and no one else. I need to go into my safe haven. Go in that one place where no one can see that dark side of me.

I feel like the way to channel this is by looking to yourself and seeing that its not all that bad. My relaxing mechanisms starts with breathing and then goes towards, talking about it. If there is someone around who can comfort me that will always help as well. Just knowing that I am not alone in this whole process will make all the difference. If someone is there for me just to comfort me, I will feel so much better.Just knowing there is support in you're life makes really all the difference.

I agree, just having someone around who is thoughtful comforting and understanding really can help when coping with PTD and I really do hope you have those people in your life that can be there for you and do that.
