be careful with your words people with trauma.
hey, i hope you're all doing well.
so i was scrolling through instagram today and i came across this tik tok reposted about defamation of character or violation of personal pictures i don't know what to name it without upsetting or hurting someone.
it was a post about getting taken advantage of, getting violated and abused so of course people with the same experiences can come across the same post and relate to it and share a comment about it, so there were a lot of them in the comment section.
but there were also people with no sense of compassion or respect there too.
they were leaving comments like "well you shouldn't have shared the pics in the first place!" "just don't share them! problem solved." "report them it's as easy at that." and as a person with trauma myself, someone who has been abused before to say that reading those comments made my blood boil is to say the least.
when coming across sensitive subjects such as this one, please don't say anything if you don't have anything nice or useful to say. please don't say anything if you're not educated enough about it. you can't imagine how words can impact a person with trauma or ptsd.
put yourself in their shoes for a minute or two.

I totally agree, I went through this here, and it made me a little bit afraid when I talk to listeners
