Rock Climbing disaster

pluckyPlace92 March 18th, 2015

I'm a 15 year old girl. A little over a year I fell off a rock climbing wall. I was being held up by a rope (and someone holding the rope) but, they weren't paying attention, so they dropped me about 7 feet. It caused really bad dizziness for several monthsand trust issues for me ever since. :( now, get triggered whenever I go into the rock climbing place. Any tips for dealing with triggers and trust issues?

You might want to do some internet searches on similar conditions to see if there are some ideas yuo can experiment with. But, it's possible that you will need the help of someone trained in helping people in your situation overcome their fear and trust issues. Not everything can be resolved on one's own.

I hope you find relief soon.

Hello pluckyPlace92,

I am just wondering if you could maybeseek a therapist who is doing EMDR therapy (you can google it if you want), I know it can be an amazing therapy that helps a lot to deal with traumas and their consequences (like trust issues in your case). There are probably other useful therapies too but it really maybe worth trying to seek help with a professional.

Was just my 2 pence, I get that you suffer from your condition and I deeply wish you to heal very soon.

Kind regards,

Gilles
