My journaling became necessary

AnonMou5e August 4th, 2021

Beyond emotional welfare, I use my journal to keep track of.. everything. From meds to teeth brushing and if someone asked me to run an errand, what I ate. From being in and out of heart surgeries I have a brain injury that affects my short term memory retention. At first it was awful, and over time I've made peace with it and I accept that even with my journal I miss stuff. At least I get to carry around a book of pretty things with me ♡

@AnonMou5e
I'm glad to hear journaling initially helped you with remembering a lot of things. Like you said, even with your journal, you miss stuff. That's completely normal and coming to terms with it must not have been easy💜

You can't move on from your brain injury but you can move forward *with* it. It may always be a part of you but making peace with it is one way to go about with your emotional healing.

Best of luck on your journey~Sierra❤️

@cuteeeezombieeee that is a really kind and inspiring thing to say. Moving forward is definitely my goal. (Can I pick an easier one, like finish off a sleeve of oreos in one evening?)
