(PTSD) What has helped you feel or become empowered throughout your healing journey?
Hey there, I'm Zaati. We may have crossed paths in Sharing Circle, Disability Support or Anxiety Support, or somewhere around this platform. I'm definitely a bit of a 7Cups explorer, are you too? If we're unfamiliar, and you're open to it, maybe we can change that today. ♥︎
I'm wondering, what has helped you feel or become empowered throughout your healing journey?
Word to the Lovely: If the word "empowered" doesn't resonate with where you're at in your journey, at this time, or at all, that's completely understandable, and feel welcome to express that. You are free to use this space as you like, regardless. How has living with trauma/ptsd affected you this past month, this week, your day ... even this moment ? As long as you're comfortable, this space is for you to share.

@zaatarHoney
Wow!!!! This forum post is stunning with a capital S!!! I look forward to hosting with you on May 27th :)
@zaatarHoney You're an incredible host, it was an honor to co-host this session with you 🥰
I just wanted to share 2 important links that were shared during the discussion for others to have access to:
@zaatarHoney Changing and painting decor - painting a room has miraculous healing effect as well as getting rid of any negative energy associated with objects,clothing,photos and buying replacements for such.. even moving area - all have innate healing powers
@brightApple51
I am livinnnnng for this! Cutting ties isn't just between people, it can definitely also be with things. Clearing your space of former energies, rearranging furniture, and/or redecorating little by little, altering your space in any capacity- you're essentially creating your own sanctuary and that is absolutely empowering. I love so much that you shared this. I can personally relate and testify to the difference these choices make as they do shift of energy that surrounds us and within ourselves ♥︎ also, shout outs to painting and other creative activities - they're so freeing. Thank you.
@zaatarHoney..Thank you so much for highlighting this- Agree with you 100%.. re-arranging furniture, creating a sanctuary or safe space -even a crystal corner ;)..💎 as well as energy stored in objects are so so imperative to mental health and healing.
Furthermore, during a relationship break up - energy can attach to objects so throwing it out, or even revamping it with paint- and paint just the smell of it ; for some weird reason seems to have aromatherapeutic healing properties denoting renewal ! Even just to press the reset button on oneself changing or ridding of objects works wonders on healing from mental traumas ⚡️
Personally I used to live in a place full on shabby chic style décor- which looking back did reflect upon my thought processes as well as outlook, however when I revamped threw my stuff out, and went Japanese minimalistic style, painted place in beige installing bamboo plants and mats, from the next day it was clear it was a mind altering change. In one word: Zen.
This effected the path to healing ., joy, luck and outlook...🌀
Thank you Zaatar... for your deep and thought provoking questions - looking out for many more 💎🐬
