Going into hospital again

ElsBells7 November 29th, 2022

Hi everyone,

I’m a 27 year old woman who has been suffering with an eating disorder for the last few years. It has been bad, and I’ve already had three separate hospital admissions over the last two years, each lasting around four months until I could take no more and discharged myself earlier than medically advised.

Obviously, this hasn’t worked out for me and I’ve relapsed each time. Once again, I am being admitted on Thursday with a very low BMI and this will be my third Christmas in a row spent in hospital.

I’m feeling very defeated and depressed and am dreading returning. Any advice or words of motivation are appreciated ❤️

@ElsBells7 Do not give up. Fight to stay alive.

Listen to your support team at the hospital.

Do what they ask of you.

I hope this helps some.

Ps: Please what ever you do, please fight like heck to get better. Remember, you are stronger then what you think.

@ElsBells7 relapsing is so common during the fight against eating disorders. Just remember that you're not alone. Just remember that you're incredibly strong for getting this far. Just remember that you are not this illness and you are so much more.

Take care. There is light at the end of the tunnel. <3
