My sister is planning to commit

thiscupisabouttobreak April 9th, 2021

As the title says, she told me she plans to do it only the other day she tried to do it before but my parents caught her and called the ambulance. She doesn't want her and I'm scared to get it because she doesn't want to be sent back to the physc ward My dad says this isn't my responsibility and there isn't much I can do but this is my sister, but apart of me feels so numb to it and she's been abusive to me and toxic so I'm not sure how to feel I'm really worried about my mom, I hasn't told her what my sister told me and I know this is going to break her I don't know what to do and I have no support

I'm sorry for spelling mistakes or errors, my brain doesn't really catch onto these things

We can't give advice on this website unfortunately but if you've told your mother and father before you need to tell them again so she can stay safe. If she is 100% in danger of hurting herself she needs to be taken to the hospital immediately so she can be with professionals that can watch her 24/7. I'm still sorry to hear your sister is abusive, I genuinely hope there is a future that she won't be and I hope everything works out for you.

@thiscupisabouttobreak I can only offer you Crisis Resources which you might give to your sister. 7cups volunteers are not trained in giving crisis support.

What is considered a crisis?

A crisis is considered when you or someone you know may be a harm to themselves or others.

If you or someone you know are thinking about or planning to harm themselves, they may be in crisis.

7 Cups is not equipped to support crisis situations. We are so thankful you’ve found 7 Cups and the free volunteer Listener program. Our goal is to help support people by offering an open ear and heart for non-emergency situations. In contrast, crisis counselors receive 200+ hours of training and continuing education specific to crisis situations. There are several existing crisis organizations who offer this level of training and support, which is why we choose to stay focused on non-crisis topics and training.

If you are in crisis please reach out to a crisis line for appropriate support. This is not a comprehensive list but some community sourced crisis lines and resources to help you:
