I need advice any will help .
What should I do if I feel like i would benefit more from one on one (face to face) therapy, but am not sure how/scared to bring it up to parent/s? I feel like I would do better with a face to face therapist, and I've just been waiting until I turn eighteen to move out and then start therapy, but I want start bettering and taking care of myself now. I have tried talking to listeners on here but either no one is available or we don't connect. I have a little less than two years until I turn eighteen and I don't want to wait but don't know how to start with any "therapy " be it on here or face to face. I just want to grow and get better. If at least I can connect with a long term listener with structured sessions that'd be great, I just need structure so I can commit and get better.
Any advice on what to do ? Where I can connect with a long term listener or how I can start therapy?

I absolutely recommend you have a chat with your parents! What do you think is holding you back from that? It can be really scary talking to parents about mental health; but it's so important because you're not alone in this.
Some tips on bringing it up with your parents could be:
- Chat to them when they are free and have nothing to do. Last thing you need is to be interrupted!
- You could write things down. It's often easier when you have a letter to read from or have them read it
- Have a friend or a sister/brother come join you for a bit of peer support
- Ask them for what you need. Sometimes parents don't always react in the way that you might hope, but that's okay. That might struggle to process it so try to be mindful of that.
It's a bit of a shame that you haven't had any luck with listeners on here. You could try posting on the long-term listener recruitment link here: https://www.7cups.com/forum/LongTermSupport_169/MembersClassifieds_360/
It can be hard but I think it's about finding someone who you can click with. Obviously though a listener is not the same as therapy but it still could help. I definately think there's a fair few listeners here who talk to people long term and can provide that structure you're looking for.
