Week 8 Reflecting, Celebrating, and Maintaining Personal Growth
Week 8 Reflecting, Celebrating, and Maintaining Personal Growth using Savouring By Lisa
Hi everyone🎉, We are all so proud that you have reached the end of the series. Take a moment to reflect on your mental health and personal growth journey and to celebrate your victories, no matter how small. You showed up for yourself here and spent time acknowledging that your growth matters. We are so glad you are here with us. Lastly, here is one last exercise that may help you focus on your growth throughout the last 8 weeks and you could do this before you answer the following question:
Here is a short exercise (taken from Positive Psychology (that is one of Lisa’s favourites!):
Savouring the Moment:Â How to savour the moment:Â
Choose a pleasant experience or moment in your day. It can be small or something significant. The most important thing is it is meaningful to you. Focus on the sensory details and emotions associated with that moment.
Extend the experience by reflecting on why it was meaningful. This is important as it makes sure that you are focusing on what brings you meaning and purpose thus helps you to savour the moment more.Â
What are the benefits of this exercise?Â
- Increases mindfulness and presence.
- Boosts positive emotions and overall life satisfaction.
- Develops an appreciation for the richness of everyday experiences.
Reflection Questions:
- What progress do you notice in the last 8 weeks?
- How do you sustain the progress you've made? Share your reflections and insights, and let's continue supporting each other!
We have been so grateful to read all of your reflections and want to say thank you to each and every one of you for participating! If you would like to see more of these series, please let us know and respond with some topics you would like to see.

I feel that I am more aware now than when we started this 8 weeks series. I realize negative self-talk earlier what gives me the opportunity to rephrase them. Doing the exercises made me feel more in control of my emotional state and helped me to find more the positive inside and around me.Â
