Therapy?
I have been using online therapy for over a year, probably closer to 2 years and I am in the same exact spot mentally as before I started. I've met with several different therapists, and at this point I feel like I should just stop doing therapy all together because my pockets are far from bottomless, and I have seen no results. I assume the problem is me not therapy, but I have no idea where to turn next. If you have any suggestions or therapy success stories, I'd love to hear them.
PS. This is basically a repost from another thread where I was kindly told to post something here
@Babbyj
So sorry to hear that the therapy you took did not give you any results so far. Changing long-term thinking patterns can be difficult for sure and it can take a while to find the right approach to the problem in question. It's understandable that you are concerned about the costs if you feel that things do not work for you. I realized you are a new member, so I assume that you took therapy at a different place.

Some people find great comfort in sharing their situation. The support room Sharing Circle is listed as one of the Group Support rooms https://www.7cups.com/connect/groupChatrooms.php
I hope this helps.

Therapy can be beneficial, but if you have chronic mental health issues it may not be enough by itself. Talk to your primary care doctor or maybe to a psychologist, too.
Also, consider what happens in your sessions: If it's talking about events without much guidance; or if your therapist is helping you to set goals and move forward in any way, however small.
