Am I Addicted?
Hello everyone. I suffer from severe chronic migraines. I get them at least 2-3 times a week, if not more. They are extremely severe if I don’t take medication in time. I have a service dog that alerts before they happen so i can take a prescription abortive. However, I’ve noticed I’m missing her alerts, i dont have her with me, or the pain is already onset more recently and so I take excederin migraine pills to stop the pain while im at work or whatnot. I feel like I’m taking one a day at this point or drinking sodas for the caffine to help. I’m scared of medications so it’s making me feel like I’m becoming addicted to the pain pills. Is this a sign of addiction? I only take them if I feel head pain but I worry the head pain stems from not having taken the pill. I can’t not take them because if a migraine progresses too much, I’ll be hospitalized but I also don’t know if it’s just like a withdraw headache to get me to take the pill to feel good.
