For me writing down important information on notecards has always helped! And one of my teachers said that the best way to actually understand something is to teach it, even if it's just to yourself! It worked for me. Hope that helps x)

I use these methods too. They are really good
Well, it depends on what type of learner you are. I usually combine a few things: I make important notes in the margins, I summarize it and write it down so I don't have to go through it all again and I watch short videos on the topic (they really help by the way).
For me, it is note cards and study buddies. Note cards to help with repetition and memorization, and a study buddy to help keep you motivated. ;)
For me, I look at the unit in sections start to break it down. Since my mind tends to wander easily on a subject I don't enjoy, I study little bits repeatedly throughout the day rather than in one big chunk. If notes are a good learning style for you, writing down the main ideas and studying from each category by day should get you through all of the lesson.
I summarize my notes when it comes time to study for a test, and to memorize lists I use acronyms.
