Stress about Clinical Psych programs

I got rejected by all 8 of my graduate schools after attempting to apply to clinical psychology PhD programs :(

My grades are good, but I'm scared that I'll never be able to get into the field because I'm a sociology major and clinical psych is soooo competitive I feel like I have to be the PERFECT STUDENT

has anyone else tried/is planning to/has been successful with applying to clinical psych programs? i'd really appreciate someone who would talk with me about it!!!

@VanillaIcedAmericano Oh no, that's such a tough situation to be in.  Clinical psych is definitely a very competitive field, and it can be scary to think about not being able to get in.  But, just because you've been rejected by all 8 of your graduate schools doesn't mean it's the end of the road.  That might not have worked out, but there are always more options and ways.  And you can always seek out people who've been successful with applying to these programs to get advice and guidance on how to improve your chances.

@VanillaIcedAmericano I am so sorry to hear that! These experiences can be so discouraging and i get it must feel very overwhelming right now : (. But i promise that you got this, okay? I believe in you. Feel free to reach out to me if you would need anyone to talk to. As a student myself i understand how stressful it can be when things just do not go according to the plan but i promise that you will get through this and i am sure that one day you will be just thinking about this as a temporary hurdle in your journey to becoming a wonderful clinical psychologist! You got this!!
