Are you aware of these as a High School student?

Things I wish I knew/did as a high school student

1. First impressions are important. They are not cliche

2. Most people dont even care about what you look like/ what you are wearing

3. Take risks

4. Cherish your friendships. Sometimes it can be hard to keep up once you have left high school

5. cool people are just people who like to be mean, to make themselves feel better

6. A low grade can be used as a learning curve. Working hard can show better results later on

7. Some teachers actually want to help you get better. Theyre not just doing it for the pay.

8. Collaboration is important. It will prepare you for college/university/work

9. Sleep is so important

10. Balance your life

11. I didnt need to stress about what I wanted to do. You have your whole life to find a job, and jobs come and go, a new field of work comes every 10 years (roughly).

12. University isnt the only choice

13. Your future doesnt depend on your Final Senior Year exam results

14. Never stop learning. There is no peak

15. FAIL = First Attempt In Learning

16. Being different is a good thing

17. Focus on what you love

18. Take advice, but dont let people lead your life

19. Apply to the college of your dreams

20. Dont stay silent

21. Do what you love. Dont apologise for doing what you love

22. High School will end. Stick with it for now, you will more than likely never return

23. Ask for help when you need it. HELP is IMPORTANT

24. Dont let people get to you

25. Do not waste your time trying to get people to like you. If they treat you poorly, they dont deserve your great presence and attention

26. Dont be with someone who only reaches out to you when it is convenient to them. Find someone who truly wants you

27. Treat life as a gift. Celebrate your life, and cherish your learning path

28. Most of the time, your parents are just trying to help you. If they hurt you in any way, stand up for yourself where you can, and get help where you can

29. It is a good idea to get a job, but you also didnt need to do it. Do what you are comfortable doing

30. Thank your teachers when they help you, it makes their day a lot better

31. Summer vacation is a blessing, most jobs and universities dont have as much

31. You genuinely have your whole life ahead of you
