Direct access to Forums from community home
Well... I just realized I doopidly posted this in a listener-only forum last week instead of this public one, so let me share this news a bit more widely and add a new mock to it as well:
We have been listening to the feedback on the new community home design and we agree that right now it is not easy or convenient enough to get to the main Forums page. We are working on a tab approach somewhat like that of the subcommunities that I think will help balance all the design goals here. I am attaching a visual design (in progress) from Ryan, our designer.
I just wanted to let folks know we're listening and we hear you on this point and we agree and we hope this will help.
I like it! Ideally, I'd like to be able to access the forums with clicking one link from anywhere on the site, but this would still be an improvement!
@AffyAvo - we could put a forum link in the footer

Have you thought of using http://lite.7cups.com while on browser? It's like the app but using it on browser but waaaaaaay better
@BurningEmber Yeah I've tried it before. I don't like it so much, it's literally just the app in a browser and I feel the app is weird and harder to navigate compared to the regular site. In my opinion

Yes! thank you for sharing the screen grabs! @Anomalia - i think she should help with the forum visibility problem you'd mentioned in another thread!
@Laura - Definitely! I would echo @AffyAvo that it would be best to only have to click once to get to the forums, but this is a vast improvement in terms of keeping forums visible and helping people find ALL our wonderful categories instead of just a limited subset. :)

@AffyAvo - i realize it's still not perfect. you have to scroll down, we hide the footer on the chat screen, but i hope this does provide quick access for forum mavens and mods alike.

@PhoenixAsh - yes, it was a problem with an update to the stylesheet. We appreciate how patient everyone has been as we try to work out the kinks.
