Decreased ratings after seeing abusive member

KnittedPenguin25 July 9th, 2016

Hello 7 Cups Community!

Thank for you all that you guys are doing to keep the site up and running!
So far it's been a pleasure to be a listener, and be a helping set of ears here. I've enjoyed being able to talk to most of the people who've decided to come here.

However, I've also encountered some pretty nasty people. Each time they came and left, I suspect that they had been leaving negative ratings for me. There were two people were particularly abusive (like, they would come on and refuse to talk, and call me expletives as I tried to assure them that I'm there to help).

Even though I can't really help my ratings (they are what they are), is there any way for my ratings to be reconsidered? I don't feel that I should be taking the brute end from people I'd report.

Thanks,

KnittedPenguin25

If you believe your ratings were unfair you can message community@7cups.com and explain your situation

I agree with you.

It is very disheartening to see your rating go down when you tried your best to help the other member. However, given by the amount of recent trolls, forum spammers and toxic people, I suggest blocking them right away if they did anything to disrespect you. That way, it won't take a toll on your emotional well-being and your ratings.

Just remember, ratings do not define who you are. You as a person does, and you show it through your action and words.

Best~

Thanks, Senpai. I try not to let the ratings define me. I just feel that some of those ratings might be unjustified, when I notice that my average always goes down with those people, who are solely trying to hurt us,

It's a shame to see certain people use our service like that.

Thanks again for your response.

Whenever someone does something weird in my chats I immediately take a screen shot and email it to community@7cups.com where Amelia deletes the fake ratings within 2 or 3 days usually. Therefore it's never become a serious problem for me.

@Ameolikat

I think that's a good idea. I've learned that screenshots are important tools to help the technical team resolve issues here. Thanks!

I have also met someone abusive today. The member refused to talk and say that I was faking my friendliness and didn’t care. I blocked the person eventually. I hope you are alright now.
