Android User Group needed!

KrinkTheMellowUnicorn November 23rd, 2015

One thing about Android is it covers a wide range of devices and OSes and versions, far more than it's possible for us to test before releases, so perhaps it's not surprising that we are still encountering some bugs and issues with our Android app.

I'd like to ask Android users who are interested to respond to this thread with your type of phone (or other device) and the version of Android you're running and whether the app is working for you currently, occasionally getting the "white screen of death" or not working at all.

In cases where the app is not working, @ezraBC and I will reach out directly to troubleshoot your device, learn what's causing the problem, and fix it.

Hi! I'd posted in one of your other threads about problems I was having with the app but since then haven't tried using it. I opened it up tonight and so far everything is running smoothly. I think the navigation bar was disappearing previously but that seems to be fixed :) thank you!

I'm on a note 3 running android lollipop 5.0.

I forgot what the other forum was but anyway, ever since the most recent update, my notifications don't work anymore again. I didn't have the app or any desktop windows open at the time, so I know it's not that...

Also in general on the desktop site it's sometimes really late at telling me when I have a new message.

Idk it's weird.

@KrinkTheMellowUnicorn not sure why, but the bug with the navbar not appearing when you enter the community tab from the left drawer is still happening, it was fixed for a bit I believe , unless it's a bug that come ang goes here and there ahah

@Ace13 - that's a new one on me but I know the community tab is pretty hack-ish right now...

@KrinkTheMellowUnicorn haven't tested with every tab though, I can look into it more in details if that can help :)

@fearlessOak2441 - good to hear. we seem to have turned a corner in terms of stability.

we have a whole new build in the works that should improve on this one in a number of ways.

some of you are in the beta group already. if anyone else in this user group would like access to the beta, please PM and I'll see if I can get you added.

@KrinkTheMellowUnicorn I agree that Android is more challenging than OS. Thank you for your brilliant work even though it might not be perfect YET but it will be some day! wohoo :D
