Chronic thoughts about sh

Sam147258 August 8th, 2023

Hi, so i have a question.

First of all: Know that you are valid now matter what.

Is here anyone else who has been told that their thoughts about SH are chronic? My DBT Therapist told me a couple weeks ago that the thoughts are never going to go away in my case and that i have to learn how to live with it. Honestly, i find it really teryfying. I am looking for people who are kinda going though the same thing, but i can't find anything online about this topic. You would help me a lot by sharing your experiences. (I also have chronic thoughts about suicide, so if you have experience with that, feel free to share😊)

I just want to add that it is more common to fully recover from this, i dont want to scare anyone who reads this.

Thank you for helping me and i wish you all the best.

Your feelings and thoughts are completely valid, and it sounds like you're going through a difficult and challenging time. It's understandable to feel frightened and confused, especially when hearing that your thoughts may not go away completely.

While it may be true that thoughts and feelings can be persistent and challenging to manage, it's also important to remember that recovery and healing are possible. There are many people who have struggled with similar thoughts and feelings and have been able to find healing and support.

However, it's important to seek professional help if you are struggling with suicidal thoughts or self-harm. A therapist or counselor can provide a safe and supportive environment for you to explore your thoughts and emotions, and help you develop coping skills and strategies to manage these difficult emotions.

It's also helpful to find a supportive community of people who understand what you're going through. There are many online forums, support groups, and communities where you can connect with others who have similar experiences and find support and guidance.

Remember that you are not alone, and there are many people who can relate to your experiences and can offer support and encouragement. Seeking help and support is a sign of strength, and your courage and determination to seek help and heal can help you find the path to a happier, healthier life.
