Hello! Im new here, my name is Aubrey. I’m 13 (idk I haven’t rly seen anyone the same age as me 😶)  I’ve been self harming for a year or two on and off. Idk rly what I’m supposed to write. Anyways, hello!

(Ooh and you may find more people around in time, as the same age as you, some people are just not very comfortable sharing their age and that's okie too)

Hi Aubrey, I can't imagine what you must be going through, especially at this young age.

Remember that you are not alone and that you have purpose, worth, and that you are loved.

Know that you are never alone, there is always someone to talk to, whether it be a parent/care giver, a older sibling/cousin, a close friend, a teacher/school support worker, or on here if you don't have anyone else to talk to.

Remember to eat something, drink some water, get some exercise (walk, dance class, track and field, etc) do your school work (whether it's regular school, home school or online and don't forget to take a break when you need to), do something you enjoy (reading, art, extra curriculars, hanging out with friends, watching tv, starting a collection, etc) and get as much sleep as you can.

Aubrey, please don't harm yourself, I may not know what is going on in your life right now, but whatever it is, it will get better.

You deserve better than that alright?

And don't hesitate to chat on here if you need to, take care Aubrey.

I know you posted this 13 hours ago, but you r fr an angle. My sister just slammed my head into the ground and I’m hiding in my room, and I was just thinking like- what’s the point? Why am I even here? Why do I keep doing this? And then I saw your message. Thank you <333

Hi Aubrey!  Welcome to 7 cups!  I am really glad you found us and hope that you find the support you are looking for here.  This community is really awesome and there are a lot of people around your age on here.  The more you stick around the more you will get to know people.

Is your head okay after the encounter with your sister?  You didn’t deserve that and I’m so sorry that she did that to you.

sometimes life can be really hard.  But it’s easier with support!  Please feel free to reach out to me anytime and if you do send me a message please tell me you are from the self harm community.

@DimStar789 yeah I just turned 14 today and I am in a similar boat as you it has been about 4 months
