Hey good people, hope you all are doing well today. It's another weekend once again and I'm glad to be talking with you all again. Today, let's talk about positive thinking and optimism!
Being able to think positively is sometimes extremely hard when the situation is bleak or doesn't allow for much optimism. Especially when we feel like self-harming, it can be extremely hard to be optimistic. Yet, being able to think positively and being optimistic is a form of self-care in itself that.

just fine
2) Why do you think it's important to try to be positive for us to stop self-harming?
I don't see it a nesity. But helpful for sure. Most everything I have done out of spite. From being told I will fail or I am failure. Or I put my self worth into it. Both probably aren't healthy but it's got me this far.
3) What stops this positive thinking in your life? How do you think you can deal with it?
My memory my track record of anything I have ever done. I have no idea about anything positive. That is outside my experience. Life is just series of misery to misery failure to failure.

Sometimes just fine is a perfectly okay place to start from. I know that people always talk about "hey this isn't healthy so you shouldn't do it" but sometimes it's understandable why we do things even if they don't make sense in the long run because it keeps us going and I understand you. It's really painful to hear you don't have any memory of anything positive and i wish it didn't have to be this way. I hope that life treats you better and you're able to find this optimism within you sometime soon. I'm glad you checked in today and I hope to hear from you again!
@blissheart00 I'm ok with just fine there isn't a reason to have more anyway. I know I have done things that should be considered happy and existing and what not. But it's probably depression or other conditions that has never let me experience it or draw on it. Pleas don't feel bad for me. At the least it doesn't help. I don't want to be a burden of any kind to anyone. As for optimism I'm not that good at it unless you can see the good in bad. So in that way I'm sure I will live a long life. How else will I be tormented or hurt if not alive to experience it. I'm sure I will get good things so they can be taken away. But I will have them for a while. Thank you for your time and help.

I'm actually doing really great today and I'm excited about what I'm working on! I might be feeling a bit stressed from it but overall excitement hehe.
2) Why do you think it's important to try to be positive for us to stop self-harming?
I think self-harm recovery requires a lot of hope and positivity and hope are both needed to get out of such dark and dreary times that we go through.
3) What stops this positive thinking in your life? How do you think you can deal with it?
I think I myself stop the positive thinking most of the time :/ I'm often my own greatest enemy and I usually deal with this by doing a lot of self-reflecting through talking with friends and journaling.
