Teen/Adult Listener/Member
Alright guys, I'm confused.
I am turning 18 on the 15th of August. So it only makes sense for me to still be a teen listener until that day. But I found myself wanting to vent about something today, so I changed into my member account, to talk to a specific teen listener. Yet when I tried to connect to him, a window popped up, telling me that the listener only supports teens. So I suppose I am considered an adult member already.
Can someone explain this to me or make sure I am either teen or adult on BOTH my accounts?

Listener accounts are held with an associated birthday (e.g. one definite date), meaning that you will be a teen listener until midnight EST on August 14th. However, member accounts are dated by month (to preserve privacy), meaning that you become an adult member on the first day of the month that you turn 18. This means that there will be an overlap where your accounts have different age categories.
If you'd like to change your member account to a teen one, you could email community@7cups.com explaining the situation, but I'm afraid that it's unlikely to happen in less than a week, due to the high volume of emails received.

(Please note: it is never appropriate to lie about your age, as it contravenes safety laws about those who are underage, makes you unsafe, and stops you getting the support you need)
Well I definitely was just joking. No need to delete the comment, it wasnt nearly as bad as most things ive seen here.
So I'll be adult on both my accounts from the 15th August on. Alright, that makes sense. Thank you tons for your answer! :)
I'm not lying about my age. I simply noticed that I am considered adult on one profile and a teenager on the other, although I am turning eighteen in a week or so.
