Making Universities More Supportive

Dresden May 24th, 2015

Hey guys! I'm Dresden, and I'm a second year psychology student from Canada! While applying for scholarships, I notices a grant fund that my University has for raising awareness and creating programming to benefit people with mental illnesses. I would really love to take part in this/apply for this grant, but I am unsure of what I would use it for!

There is a theme for the award, and this year it's "building more welcoming and supportive communities". This is something that I really think is important and really want to help with. I could host an event, fundraiser, or program using my grant money.

So, basically, my question for you is what do you think would help to make a University campus more supportive to people with mental illnesses?

A very amicable free non-judgmental counseling or therapy support for every ardent enrolled to that particular student. To share themselves with a trained therapist is what I feel might help. Unfortunately I'm not lucky to be a part of such community.
