Got A Secret, Can You Keep It...

daisyxo2 December 7th, 2014

Hello lovely listeners <3

I'm Daisy. Currently, I'm in a bit of a pickle...A very good friend of mine has asked me to keep a secret about her moving schools next year. I totally understand this. I went through the same thing last year and the less people know, the less drama there is. However, I want to tell my parents (though she told me not to tell anybody). Usually, I do as my friend asks. But the school she wants to go to isn't as good as she might think it is, and I don't want her to make an uninformed decision that she would later be unhappy with. What would you do?

Many thanks xoxo

It's good to see that you put a lot of value in your friendship with this friend and are looking out for her by listening to her. Still, it does beg the question:Why would you need to tell your parents? Do they have a say in your friend's education or something like that?

Unless her choice of school would say, put her in danger or something like that, there's really no reason to spoil the secret. What I do suggest you do, however, is to support her as a person in this stage of her life, as the good friend that you are, even if you don't support her choice.

Blessings,
StJaume

Hi StJaume :)

Thanks for your opinion! My main motivation for telling my parents is that I often go to them for help with dealing with a situation. I would really appreciate their input on how to bring this up, both the positives and negatives of this new school. I want their opinion, but I don't want to violate my friend's trust and privacy.
