Ramadan Mubarak 2024
As-salamu alaykum! I hope everyone is doing well. I am writing this post to wish Ramadan Mubarak to all Muslims in our community. The post is also a chance to wish each other and share your happiness with fellow Muslims on 7 Cups.
Ramadan is the name of an Islamic month. It started today for some countries and it will start tomorrow for others. For Muslims it is a month dedicated to fasting from sunrise to sunset every day of the month (there are exemptions for certain people based on things like health, travel, etc), added focus on worship, and a greater effort towards adhering to one’s religious teachings. Fasting involves no water and no food but additionally Muslims also often try to make an additional effort to stay away from anything disliked or prohibited in the religion such as telling lies or speaking rudely to someone and do more of the liked things such as giving charity. For Muslims, it is a month of great importance. Once the month ends, it is followed by a celebration called ‘Eid-al’Fitr’.
I am happy to highlight that his time around we have a space dedicated to the religion Islam in our ‘Religion & Spirituality’ sub-community. You can access the Islamic Sub-forum/space through this link. This post is being made in the same space! You can use the space to share your excitement for the month, the plans you have and support fellow Muslims in their goals and plans.
Ramadan Mubarak everyone!
For Muslims, what does the month mean to you?
For me its not only the month to leave food and drinks but also a chance to leave my addictions. Example smoking..etc. Each ramadan i leave about 10 unhealthy habits and i never come back to them due to the shame i build within me against such habits. And also ramadan for me is to feel how the poor feel when they dont have a fridge to open and eat leftovers or whatever they want. But rather stay hungry for long hours before food is found and eaten. Its a way to humble us as muslims and remind us in case were rich that our money is worth nothing and hunger can make us wanna pay our whole fortune for a plate of food. Its a really really lovely month to me.
Thank you ð¤©

Ramadan Mubarak Laiba!
Ramadan Mubarak everyone!
I am not a Muslim but I appreciate much certain practices in Islam that regularly remind people of the spiritual side of life.
One is Ramadan, an entire month to promote a spiritual mindset, through fasting and cultivating a virtuous behavior.
Another, for example, is Salat, stopping five times a day secular activities, to pray.
In our fast-paced world, with so so many distractions that take us away from the most important things in life, these religious practices are a very concrete, practical help, I think, to stay on track and never lose sight of our spiritual dimension, the highest one as human beings.

so well said! I'm not Muslim either but I am doing Ramadan with my friend who is, and even thought it is the second day I see improvement in the mental strength and resilience. Respect and much admiration to the Muslims who do this :)
Ramadan Mubarak!
That’s very wise and thoughtful of you, Steph!
Taking the opportunity offered by this great spiritual tradition!
This is brilliant! A great example and inspiration.
I am glad that you are already experiencing the benefits of such a noble practice.
Congratulations!

Ramadan Mubarak !
"As the holy month of Ramadan begins, I pray that Allah blesses you with strength, patience, and wisdom. Ramadan Kareem!"
رمضان كريم وكل عام وانتم بخير
May this month erase all the discomforts, hatred and ill feelings for others.
May this month bring ease, comfort, empathy, respect, patience and all what everyone else wants from us.
May this month bring everyday of fasting the fullest of its blessings. As I don't know, if today would be my last Fast or not.
But I am sure that ALLAH SWT has the Best for us, whatever is hidden to reach us all.
Remember all the oppressed in prayers and help everyone unconditionally.

As-salumu alaykum everyone, and a big Ramadan Mubarak to you all 💕
Thank you for this post hope, for me this month is focusing on deepening my connection with Allah. I am not the best muslim, quite far from it. This month I spend heavily reflecting on my deen, my family, and trying to find ways to better myself overall.
I was reminded by a friend that Ramadan, is like a reset. We go into it as a bootcamp to learn better practices in not only our deen but in day to day life.
This month is very deep to me, my connection to Allah SWT feels very close and personal even more so this month.
Wishing you all a big Ramadan Kareem and in'shaAllah it remains peaceful and safe.
