I feel close to God, but extremely far away at the same time

@fearlessGlobe4758 when I listen I do not necessarily hear words. Sometimes I just get a quiet reassurance that all is well. A feeling of calm and peace arises. It is a feeling of contentment that is like a silent voice saying "It's okay." Sometimes that is all I need to know. Just go on. It's okay.

@fearlessGlobe4758 He hears you. I sometimes think the same thing. But, listen for His voice in the quiet still moments. 

Hi! We talk to God through prayer and God speaks to us mainly through His Word (the bible). Try reading the bible and I assure you that God will speak to you. I suggest try a bible app from youversion and search for bible plans on anything that you want. You can start from there. 🙂

@fearlessGlobe4758 I feel like I hear is voice the most when I'm down and beating myself up hear him saying you've got this keep going. I think its about discernment and the positive thoughts I don't often tell myself are him. I struggle a lot with hearing his voice I know its about being alone and quiet but still sometimes all I hear is silence. Pray to him and I feel like you can hear his voice through reading the Bible, others, and even worship music! God loves you so much !
