I don't know if I ever really loved you or if I just loved the idea of loving someone. I do know that whatever everybody else thinks, our breakup didn't leave me heartbroken.
It left me angry, yes, that you'd lie to me so plainly. It left me hurt that I wasn't good enough for you. It caused me to make the stupidest mistake of my life.
But I think I've forgiven you. Every class with you used to cause me so much pain, but now, I've gone numb. I've forgiven you and your current girlfriend because I don't want to keep that bitterness in my heart.
I just wish I could forgive myself.

The same way you were able to forgive her, in the same way, with time you will be able forgive yourself. The piece that you wrote was beautiful as it evoked deep emotions. It is hard to forgive someone who hurt you deeply. I applaud you for being able to do so.
