What is considered a "toxic relationship"?

A toxic relationship would be a relationship that is unbalanced, manipulative, dishonest, harmful, and results in someone feeling some or all of the following: bad, scared, anxious, trapped, insecure, helpless, or somehow guilty a lot of the time. If someone is always lying to you, making false promises, not respecting your boundaries, not respecting you generally, and belittling you, the important thing to remember is that they are not your entire life and you have all the power and every right to walk away from them. Getting out of a toxic relationship can often be difficult and confusing, but the important part if realising and accepting that it is a toxic relationship in the first place, and then removing yourself from the situation as quickly and completely as possible. Of course each individual case is complicated in its own way though.
