Should I continue or stop?

I close with this guy and we’ve been hanging out for a month. We usually meet every weekend. We are interested in each other and I really like meeting this person. However, he never initiate the meeting and never try to text me first.

when we meet, he seems interested in me, but we rarely communicate through the text. So, today, I told him I couldn’t give him my time anymore since I feel like I am the one who pursuing him. At the same time, I feel sad because I really like this guy.

he said he usually take it slow to get close to someone. But, in my opinion putting effort to get to know me and not intended to know me are two different things and I feel like he doesn’t pursue me.

Did I make a right decision?
