My boyfriend has a temper

My boyfriend has a temper after our 8months relationship and it's scared me. Sometimes he is angry with small things. He cannot control it when he gives instructions/ request more than 3times, no one reply it.

It's scared me because there's one day I repeat the same mistake and it's the 3rd time. It's just a miscommunication between me and him. Then he cannot control his anger and slap my face really hard. And keep pushing me. That time I felt so sad and scares of him.
but after a few hours I'm ignores and silent, he come to me and persuade me back.

I really love him and I hope he can control the temper.
