I have been taking the pill for over a year and recently stopped this month due to the many many side effects!

Has anyone experienced this as well? Did you find a better alternative?

Hey there!

I know that there have been a lot of people who have stopped taking birth control due to the many side effects (especially with the pill). I have personally had a lot of success with NuvaRing; it cleared my skin really nicely and periods aren't too painful.

I know that the implant and the IUD work for a lot of people as well. What side effects were you experiencing? Sometimes bodies react differently to different levels of estrogen and progesterone.

Some of those are very prone to happening, such as the mood changes. Have you talked to your doctor/gynecologist/planned parenthood representative about it?

And are you looking for something more long term, or something that is easily reversable?
