How do I cross over into dating my friend

My best friend is in love with me and I only just realized that I want to date him. I’m worried however that when we cross that line it won’t work. Like what if we aren’t physically compatible. He’s had a lot of previous partners and I’ve only been kissed a few times. I don’t want to disappoint him.

If he's your best friend, he is probably already aware of these facts. Nobody is perfect; a little compassion and understanding goes a long way in communicating what can be better.
