A small challenge for all expecting daddies

AFollowerofPlato September 19th, 2021

Hi everyone.

I've been here for years and, unusually, across time I was even told by two new moms I helped in here they named their kids after me. So, I'd like to propose a small challenge for all expecting daddies, even if it is your very first kid.

Essentially, if your wife/girlfriend/companion has a big belly and trouble sleeping due to it, literally try to put yourself in her shoes. Put one or two pillows under your shirt and try to sleep like that for at least one night, so you can see how it all feels. In the past, I found it to be a profoundly bounding experience, and it really teaches you a lot about how uncomfortable it all is.

And, for all expecting mothers, huge cheers to you! ❤️❤️❤️

Thank you for sharing! I also had a big belly and wobble-walked due to back pain. I had to use a scooter when grocery shopping.

One thing that I would like for men to experience is having to urinate 2 or more times throughout the night. This disrupts our sleep. I'd like for men to understand why some pregnant women are sleep deprived and cranky throughout the day.

Thank you, and God bless you.
