I need help
I need to stop writing texts to my ex..even call him "ex" is so painful. I accept any kind of suggestion. Thanks
@sympatheticSquare6031 Breakups can be so hard. I know how you're feeling. A tip that I've heard is that every time you want to text your ex, write down what you want to say to him. On the notes app, in a journal, or wherever else you'd like. And you can delete it or keep it, but it's a good way to get all your feelings out without having to send a text.
I have the same problem. Even after 10 months of break up, I still trying to message her.

When you write.to your ex daily , if it is your habit keep doing it with a few changes , instead of calling ex , call him something like " character name " (fiction/non-fiction ) based on how he made you feel.
Then you need to decide what you want to do , do you want to forget him or want him back ?
If you want him back? , ask your self how much time are you ready to wait for him until you decide to forgive him (1 year/3 years/ 8 years/15 years/30 years or now).choice will be yours .
If you want to forget him , you need to remember him one more time to remind you of all the memories you got through together to eliminate all the possible triggers that make you remember him. Also after he went out of the relationship , there must be some emotional voids might have been created that you want to fulfill with him once again that make you remember him. You need to fill those voids with your friends and family.
He never loved me just affection. He is helping me financially for my health expenses so I can't cut ties completely. But I decided to stop writing to him until my next medical appointment. My family is toxic and put me down any minutes of the day. Can't help. They make fun of me. I have some good friends tho. I wish I were economically independent to cut ties completely. It's hard cause he is a good man. He just doesn't love me and I need to accept that.

If it was just affection, then you should definitely write your memories in your diary in form of characters. So that only you can understand it plus you can keep those memories + writing your memories with fictional/non-fictional characters will definately bring smile on your face in future, every time you read it.
