Making new friends

Hi everyone, I'm wanting to make new friends but haven't got any, work from home / commute very far, only talk to my mum & recently broke up with my girlfriend (which my social circle was her family). I've been trying to find places where I can chat or meet people and try and get back into talking with humans. Anyone have any ideas or just want to chat a bit?

Start a Facebook group for your city... or make a post in an already established group :)
