Mental health is burning down my marriage.
In June of 2021, my wife had an emergency mental situation, discovered to be schizophrenia, come out of nowhere and blast holes in our marriage. I'm trying so hard to keep us together and weather the storm, but it's just so damn hard fighting an invisible force. I NEED to find others who understand or have some experience in a mental health affected marriage. I just need some help and guidance.

That must have been a shock to hear a diagnosis ...... i think mental or general health when you find a partner has something you go through many emotions .....maybe look up all you can about the situations try to follow tips and tricks ......... and it puts more pressure on the relationship
my spouse had a physical diagnosis ...i did not think he took serious enough ... i went overboard in lets try this or that...... and it was just too much ....
i had many emotions first fear of ending up a caretaker..........anger about my feeling he was not doing all he can .......felt selfish that i can do things he can't really do ...... but i enjoy ..........
i am sure mental health takes a bigger toll ...........as maybe you can not see it coming ....... but it is a process similar to go through the grief process of what you thought your marriage was going to be ... it is now taking another path.
That seems very trying. I am sorry you both are facing this
