How would you define the feeling of love?

Everyone has their own definition of love. For some it's the butterflies in the stomach, for some it's like time slows down when they see their significant other, some define it as the second stage of friendship, I want to know how all of you would define love.

@FadingStarDust

Large amounts of phenylethylamine. Mostly.

@justanemptynobody

Ah, I half hoped someone would mention the love drug.

@FadingStarDust

Phenylethylamine is not strong enough to be considered a love drug tho. I mean it is found in decent quantity in any kind of chocolate.

@justanemptynobody

Nah, it's in very small quantities in chocolates.

Compared to other ingredients yeah but it's enough for it have have effect on the brain~ That's what matters.

I think that "butterflies in the stomach" is infatuation not love. Love is just caring deeply about someone unconditionally. It's not as exciting, but in my opinion it's much more beautiful and meaningful.

I'm kind of fond of "Sternberg's Triangular Theory of Love":

PASSION + INTIMACY + COMMITMENT = CONSUMMATE LOVE

Why can't I find people like you on the GR? Thank you though. <3
