THE FEELING OF BEING IN LOVE
What does it feel like to be in love?
What is the best thing about being in a relationship?
Share your thoughts with us.
@shilpa According to me the best thing about being in love is the abilty to trust someone as much as you trust youself. You can be dependant on that person and expect them to protect you just like you'll be protecting them while they depend upon you.
That feeling of unconditional support with trustworthy companionship is the best.
@Kaishi29 - Unconditional support, the feeling of a sense of security and the feeling of being able to bank upon soneone and trust him/her - I agree with you pal you've given us some wonderful insights into this.
Are you currently in love?
If yes then what is it in your partner that made you fall in love with him/her?
And what do you think is it about you that made him fall in love with you?
Hoping to hear from you soon buddy.
@shilpa Yes I am currently in love. Have been from a long time, just never realize the depth of it since he has been my best friend from past 5 years. The first time I realized I feel something for him was when I saw saw him dating another girl. Have been quiet all these years, not wanting to endager our friendship.
Now I finally had the courage to tell him and to my shock he has been in love with me for a while as well (though I have been longer)
I love him because, let me tell you, I'm not an easy person to live with. I'm way too blunt that I usually end up having more enemies than friends. But not only has he been so understanding and supportive towards me, he has been also able to put up with me for last 5 years and never complained once about it.
In fact he loves that I'm too blunt and can't take bull from anyyone. He has given me the confidence to turn into who I am today. He's made me ME.
Hope that answers your question :P
@Kaishi29 - Yaaaay Congratulations Buddy!! That's just like a fairytale you know. Really great being in love with your best friend, isn't it? Best friend and boyfriend - one person - and that's THE most amazing thing to happen to anyone. May God bless you both and keep you like this forever. And 5 years is indeed a long time.
And the fact that he made you - YOU - that really shows how important he has been in your life and you saying this also indicates how much you actually value him.
Thank you so much for sharing your positivity with us.
Be happily blunt forever girl !!
And Take Care
@shilpa Haha, trust me it was nothing like a fairytale but yes the journey was worth it. It was worth him.
Thank you Shilpa for letting me share my story with you. Hope you find your trusting, protective partner pretty soon ;) xoxo
@Kaishi29 - And it was worth it for me as well - to have such a loving partner - someone who trusts him unconditionally.
And Thank You for sharing your story and spreading so much of positivity around the 7 cups family.
Aaah Thank you ^_^ I've already found mine. We'll be completing a year this september. Wish me luck!!
@shilpa Oh wow! That's great. I'm happy for you :D Wish you both all the best <3 May you guys always stay in love happily together!!
@shilpa ------ @Sophiejay ------ Hey there buddy , you made some really valuable contributions to the earlier forum thread on LDR's and I loved your input. You could in fact say I've become a fan of your thoughts . I'd love to hear your thoughts on love.
Hoping to hear from you soon
@shilpa Thank you! Your input is also something I look for:)
For myself it's the safety aspect. I feel so content and safe when my other half is around. I've got so much going on in my head but when he's there it all goes silent, it turns off and I'm just content and happy, relaxed and positive.
Of course it's like feeling like you're on top of the world but there's nothing better than just laying there and taking a deep breath, feeling like absolutely everything is right and you just love them so much.
Its definitely hard to describe but that's just a partial bit:) what about you @shilpa :)
@Sophiejay - You just spoke my mind you know. I feel so safe and relaxed and happy and I'm always laughing. Even though we hardly get to meet nowadays yet, the wait is worth it. I'll be needing a lot of inputs from you ..... since my relationship will be turning long distant very soon. And the thing you said in your earlier writings that's just given me such a lot of hope. Everytime I cose my eyes to think that "omg how will things be after that" - my inner voice tells me "look at sophie! she's been maintaining her's - so there are many people out there. But sometimes hearing the break up of LDR's of guests makes me worry. And talking to them makes me feel their pain clearly now, since I know i'll have to deal with a similar situation pretty soon.
But thank you Sophie for making me believe that LDR's can be worked out too.
You've been doing an amazing job in the relationship forum.
And I want you to know that you've made me feel more positive about LDR's and about my relationship and I love you for that
@shilpa you're such a genuinely lovely person so thank YOU for giving us all the opportunity to give advice. LDR can be so difficult, lonely and a lot of people are unhappy but if you love that person with all your heart it will work. It takes determination but you can do it. Everyone runs into trouble but stick with it, I hope you and your other half continue your wonderful relationship on despite distance! ❤️❤️
