Been together a little over a year, and I get it that that's not an incredible amount of time. Just recorded our first EP and my drummer backs out. Guitarist refuses to play without drummer. The music scene where I live is non existent so finding more people to play with, especially with my schedule, is next to impossible.
My drive to create has all but disappeared.
It's like I reached out to my dream of performing and brushed it with one finger only to have it pulled further away.
I look at it objectively, and understand that I'm being dumb and should just move on. Dwelling will do nothing but make it hurt longer. But it's got me in a funk that I can't get out of.

It can be very painful when things don't turn out how we imagined them. Sometimes we imagine things in a very set way though, and maybe there are other possibilities we hadn't thought of. Why did he leave, is it something that can be worked out? Otherwise we just have to grieve the loss and open ourselves to other possibilities. 💛
