(A little late but look I'm here hihi :)

Perhaps they would have told me more, but just at that moment a seagull suddenly swooped down and landed on our makeshift tree.

Distracted by that Sam turns to look at the strange bird, seeing it now up close I can see its absurd size compared to a normal seagull.

"Hey" the exclamation almost makes me fall from the tree, I look around confused not seeing anyone but me and Sam."It's me" that voice says again. I realize that it is actually the Seagull that speaks.

Nice now we're seriously talking to a bird. He moves from the branch where he had landed, ruffling his feathers and speaking again "Are you deaf by any chance?"

I snort, I don't even know why I was so surprised when the bird spoke, with all the crazy things that have happened in the last few hours.

Sam is still open-mouthed looking at me and then at the bird and vice versa.

I had more pressing things to think about than a talking bird, but he didn't seem to let go of the bone, so I answered him "No, I heard you" and then I add "You have something to tell?"

The Bird-Seagull seemed a little annoyed by the question, perhaps thinking I was rude.

"I wanted to tell you that this position is very visible, if you are trying to not be found then is a very bad hiding place, my dear buddy"

I look around bored, seeing a couple of men disembarking from some kind of lifeboat, the sea calm with small waves forming on the surface, Then I decide to answer "We are not hiding, don't worry about us dear bird, but thanks for the warning"

We had climbed the tree to get a better view of the city, as we were looking for a particular place. And also because I simply wanted a moment of peace after all that crazy-action of this morning.

"We shouldn't go to the Black Forest" Sam has finally found his words again, I look at him, surprised by how much his tiredness is evident in his face.

"Why not?" While they were talking, the seagull had taken flight and had managed to find a nice prey in a few second, a nice big fish was hanging from its beak. then the bird had settled on a rock near the shore to eat it peacefully.

"I've heard stories, bad stories" He says looking at me alarmed,  "So let me understand, you don't want to go because of some stories?" I'll rebuke right away "After all we've been through, now you're scared?"

Sam is my best friend since practically forever and I trust him. However, once I'm convinced an idea is right, it's very hard to change my mind.
