@friendlyMelon7632 Honestly, there are a lot of books. However, one of the best books I have ever read was Siddhartha by Herman Heese. It allowed me to explore my thoughts on religion and the ultimate purpose of existence. Before reading it, I was not a religious person but I grappled with conflicting perspectives. However, through Siddhartha's journey, I understood that every person embarks on a unique quest for meaning, and no one can truly guide us to inner peace. It helped me realize that we must navigate our paths, confronting our challenges and experiences along the way. This is the only way we will be able to find and achieve our purpose. It gave me the clarity nothing else provided me.

@friendlyMelon7632 I don't like books I like authors. Nikolai Gogol, Robert Louis Stevenson, I'm very classical.

I WAS JUST THINKING ABOUT THIS RECENTLY!!

The best book I’ve ever read was All The Light We Cannot See by Anthony Doerr. I read it almost four years ago and it’s stuck with me in a way no other book has since. It’s this beautiful story that explores the consequences of World War 2 through the eyes of two teenagers and while it could be considered a love story, it’s really so much more than that; the love doesn’t really come to fruition until the end. It’s about freedom, different kinds of love, the lengths we would go to get what we want, and it’s there can be so much nuance within these themes as well. There are a couple povs and a lot of pages but I think it all added to the complete genius of the book, I’d urge everyone to at least give it a chance and allow yourself time to lose yourself in the story :) (after looking at the trigger warnings of course)

Maybe You Should Talk To Someone - Lori Gottlieb taught me a lot about a possible future career in therapy, and understanding how to view others' problems in a more compassionate light. Great for anyone who is interested in psychology, and I'd especially recommend it to listeners of 7Cups! 📚
