When You’re Ready, This is How You Heal by Brianna Weist
Happy new year everyone! I’d like to share a book that I’ve read recently entitled When You Are Ready, This is How You Heal by Brianna Weist.
Reading this has been a transformative experience for me. One of the key takeaways that resonated deeply is the idea that I’m not meant to be for everyone, and not everyone is meant to be for me. This concept helped me realize that the few genuine connections I have—whether in friendship, love, or relationships—are incredibly valuable, and I’ve learned to appreciate them even more by understanding what they are not.
The book also made me realize how important it is to stop staying stuck in relationships where I’m being used, emotionally drained, or treated as a back burner option. By doing so, I was preventing myself from finding support that I truly deserve. This book reminded me that the healing I seek is out there, waiting for me to embrace it.
@ZenArashi Heya,
I have observed you in the Sharing Circle room where you do maintain the group properly unlike others and I do like how you respond to others.
You're great dear
I guess its fine to text here
@ZenArashi
Eeek, what a hard hitting read! And your accompanying commentary/ insights are wonderful :) Your comment of "I’ve learned to appreciate them even more by understanding what they are not." has really got me thinking (in a good way!)
I think when I first think about "understanding" I always think of knowing what something is, but you've got me thinking now about how true/ deeper understanding probably comes from also understanding what something is not. Afterall, understanding what something is really only covers half the story, the other half is covered by what it's not.
You've definitely given me some food for thought, so thank you for that! I wish you luck on you future goals :) which you seem very prepared for with obvious thanks to this wonderful book excerpt you've shared with us---much appreciated!
