My radio interview on World Suicide Prevention Day
A couple of weeks ago, I was called up by my local BBC radio station to discuss World Suicide Prevention Day and Samaritans, the UK's emotional support/suicide helpline. I've tried to cut out any identifying elements, but if there's anyone from the UK, you'll no doubt at least recognise the region I'm from! Apologies if I sound slow or nervous, I wasn't briefed about what would be asked/didn't speak to the presenter apart from what you hear in the interview - it was quite short notice.
Just to let you know, the start of the interview begins with a pre-recorded segment of one of our volunteers describing previous suicidal thoughts
I hope this link works! @Laura
By the way, I cut out the number for Samaritans because I gave my local branch's number. If there's anyone from the UK or if anyone encounters any suicidal members from the UK, Samaritans has just (22nd) released its free call service, from landlines and mobiles: 116 123.
