March 2nd: World Book Day!
It's World Book Day!
World Book Day is a celebration! Its a celebration of authors, illustrators, books and (most importantly) its a celebration of reading. In fact, its the biggest celebration of its kind, designated by UNESCO as a worldwide celebration of books and reading, and marked in over 100 countries all over the world. [Source].
It is also their 20th anniversary of encouraging and providing opportunities for children to read!
We are fortunate to be able to read and share our stories, communicating on 7 Cups through our literacy skills. This is done in English but also many different languages via the forums and 1-on-1 chats!
Being able to read can mean so many things to different people. Accessing and enjoying books of a variety of kinds can provide a great escape or eye-opener. Books and the authors and illustrators that put work into them can be inspiring, relatable, insightful, heartbreaking, and magical.
