Community Playlist: The 7 Cups Mixtape

Heather225 September 21st, 2023

Music has an incredible power as a therapeutic tool. It can boost our mood, help us relax, or provide an outlet for emotions we can't put into words. In times of stress or uncertainty, music can be a comforting companion, a source of motivation, or simply a way to escape for a while.

This led us to think on ways we can celebrate music as an entire community and we came up with the idea for a spotify playlist. We collected your song suggestions in this post and have been adding them over the past few weeks.

Here it is!

We are always accepting new requests! If you'd like to recommend an uplifting song, you can submit them through this form.

We look forward to hearing what you think of it, and may it be a source of joy and healing.

Thank you everyone for collectively making this mixtape possible.

If you notice a song on the playlist that's not appropriate (e.g. contains profanity, triggering subject matter), please let me or Mahad know.

@Heather225

here's one of mine from a few years back, written for a chatter with a screen name that also can reference a popular self-help book (Broken Crayons Still Color). I extend the metaphor in this song improvised on camera, because once broken crayons can color in more different ways than before.
Being broken still hurts though.

Please delete earlier one where link from "share" on youtube didn't post right I think. Here is the link to the song I wrote on YouTube about how broken crayons can do more than when they came from the store.

Heya @TheBicyclingGuitarist 💜

Your song is absolutely amazing but unfortunately we can't add it to the playlist until it's on Spotify. Our playlist is hosted on Spotify so we're unable to add songs from other platforms.

But if you have any songs on Spotify that you'd like to have added to the playlist, we'd be more than happy to take that request!
