The girl and her heart
This isn’t really poetry it’s like a story/poetry/random thoughts idk but here it is
She showed it to a boy
The boy was in disguise
He broke off a piece of her heart while she had her back turned
And pretended to share his
The girl thought he had bruised her heart
She she banished him away
Only as time wound around her
Did she realize what he had stolen
The girl hurt and scared locked her heart away
She vowed never to let anyone see it
When another boy came along
Heart full and eyes hopeful
He showed her his heart
And reached for hers
The girl did not know a difference
Between love and the pain she knew before
She she lashed back
An animal
The boy scared ran away from the monster
The girl cried because he loved his heart
But the pain from before transformed into a monster inside her
The monster whispered he was not to be trusted
So she threw the key away
The key to her heart
Now not even she could reach it
@cinnamon4018 Oop the start is supposed to say “the girl was keeping her heart safe, and now she was ready to share it” mb

Ah...the way you portrayed the girl is soo very relatable. Almost every one of us was hurt and have felt betrayed..(if you haven't I hope you never do!!) and the hurt you depicted was quite genuine.( • ᴖ • 。) The dance of trust with being scared is so vivid. Its sorry to know that she had no chance of hope or revival but thats flavor to this piece. It is wonderful ironic description!
(I read your beginning lines at last and left quite an impression!⊹₊⟡⋆)
