The Life You Live
The life you live
Is your choice
Take it or leave it
You have a voice
Raise it high
Even if it's a whisper
Someone is watching
Maybe your sister
Friend
Cousin
or Foe
Does not matter
Just so you know
You are important
and Your voice counts
Make a difference
It's your choice
Win or stay stuck
Which will you choose?
Today you can win
Or decide to lose

A very lyrical poem. The notion of personal responsibility is treated tactfully but without sugar coating; making it clear that we have agency to alter our course, to take charge and to voice our inner world. Yet you still make it clear that we are not islands in isolation, but that the world takes notice even if it is not always friendly attention.
It is good. Hope you post more like it.
@winnersmile I love how the repetition of "It's your choice" gives the piece a rhythmic and emphatic quality, reinforcing the message of personal agency. The balance between encouragement and challenge is striking . It really makes the reader reflect on their own power to change. Beautifully direct and impactful!
