Hi! I'm sorry for always writing something before the poem, but this is a poem about what the love I'm currently experiencing, it's truly intoxicating and heart-aching yet do you ever feel so drawn to a person that you just can't seem to let go? Well this is the feeling it might give you, to anyone experiencing heart-aches from love this is for you, I love you and please know you're not alone and to learn your worth more than what pain could cost you. I hope you enjoy this poem!

"You were charming, sweet, and sly,

A charismatic facade that caught my eye.

Who knew you'd be the dagger to my chest?

The one who'd shatter our dreams, and leave me reeling, lost, and depressed.

We once planned a life, a home, a family,

But now those same plans fuel our misery.

The promises we made, the vows we spoke,

Have vanished like smoke, leaving only pain and smoke.

You knew right from wrong, yet chose to hurt,

To sacrifice our love for your own selfish desert.

Each day, our words and actions weighed us down,

Yet still we stayed, trapped in this toxic love we couldn't drown.

You blinded me with lies, gaslighting my mind,

Exploiting my trust, leaving me lost, and so unkind.

The sacrifices I made for you, the love I gave,

Were ignored, trampled, and discarded like a wave.

You gave me your all, but it was paid with my own,

The sacrifices I made, the love I'd sown."

Thank you so much for sharing this poem, and I can feel the depth and pain of your words. Love can be incredibly intoxicating, but it can also leave scars, especially when the person you care about causes hurt.
