IMPERFECTION

By ZenArashi

A cracked leaf,

its veins like silver threads,

holding onto autumn’s breath

the wind whispers,

"Here, in brokenness,

there is strength."

Rain falls in soft murmurs,

puddles gather,

not perfect circles,

but ripples that dance

across the stillness

like thoughts,

faltering but free.

A bent tree,

its branches crooked,

yet it reaches toward the sky,

unfolding

with each imperfect dawn,

finding light

in the spaces between.

In the quiet hum of the earth,

we, too, bend

and rise,

our cracks filled

with the warmth

of the sun,

and the soft patience

of the rain.

@ZenArashi This poem beautifully portrays the power found in imperfection and vulnerability. The cracked leaf, the bent tree, and the ripples in the puddles all serve as gentle reminders that there’s strength in our flaws and beauty in our brokenness. It’s a quiet, profound message about growth—how we, too, bend and rise, finding light and warmth even in our most imperfect moments.

I also find your name intriguing – Zen Arashi – the calm storm!  Looking forward to more of your works.

@azurePond

Aww, thank you for your thoughtful words, Azure. 🙏🏼 Nature reminds me that there’s strength in vulnerability. Hope to read more of your poems, too.
