IF I HAD WINGS

If I had wings I could fly far away

From this hellish place

If I had wings I could fly to the clouds

And sit on them as they rained

I could fly into the sky

And not worry about anyone seeing me cry

If I had wings I could see the whole world in my free time

I would be happy

And maybe, if I had wings, I could fly

IF I HAD WINGS PT 2

I'd like to think if I had wings I could fly

But if I jumped off a building

I would find that my broken wings

Cannot support the weight of my body

My wings would be crippled

As is my mind

But as I fall, and my body breaks with impact

With my last breath, I realize

That I never had wings to begin with

IF I HAD WINGS PT 3

If I had wings I could stare at the sky

Then I would fly without a second thought

If I had wings....

I could take my love with me, holding her

And w'd both enjoy the thrill of flying

But I don't have wings

So I'm stuck here on the ground

Admiring the sky

Unhelpful

And lonely
