it's been okay ish but a bit hectic as well.
🧡 What is something that you're looking forward to?
meeting an online friend of mine next week!
@daydreammemories
Meeting that friend in-person sounds exciting! Have you met before, or is this the first time?
Hope that things slow down soon 💜
@QuietMagic
this would be the first time, and thank you!

week so far been kinda bad for us. as been having flashbacks we hate this time of year. the holidays time is not good for us at all. it a reminder of the past the abuse that happened when off school too. also reminder that we really have no family. we lost our 3 kids to government and parental rights to them. then after some time we in dec of 2004 ran away from our abusive hubby. but had to ran away when he was at work due to he threatened our life. was other stuff too. so weeks been kinda crazy within alters crying and yelling due to all that happened.
for us we look forward to church on Sunday due to it really only time of week we around others. as there we can talk to others face to face too. as have adult Sunday school too. so it a time of fellowship offline for me. but it more as it brings our mood up the music is amazing that the worship team leads. so each week we have that to look forward too.
@stormieandpaws
That makes a lot of sense that everyone would be crying and yelling with those flashbacks happening around this time of year (i.e. past abuse, losing family).
Is there anything that helps with the alters feeling safe and cared for when those flashbacks are happening? Sounds like you have a deep understanding of everyone's going through and why it would be painful.
That's wonderful having that time every Sunday to be around others and get that mood boost from those connections.
@QuietMagic
we have things for the inside kids to do most in our system love arts and crafts a lot. today when out after small gruop at church the lady that took me. she stopped at a store were we had got a few Christmas kits to make foam Christmas things. so that will we hope help them. right now trying to teach them we safe and Christmas is different now so we can enjoy the season. as we not around them people no more so time to make our own Christmas time spiecal. over the years since we started healing some inside have even changed their names. many had names related to what the abusers call them. so working on teaching all within things not the same as they was and we have a voice now.
so we allow the kids to like scream and hit pillows and other safe things. we have a inside world within it we have now safe rooms for when someone needs to chill out or need to have safe place to just me angry and trow things etc. within them rooms is only things that will not hurt you. we found making emotions ok to have and voice has helped all within system. so it on going learning what each alter needs and trying to help them have that. big thing is it ok to not keep it bottled up inside. so places like this help us a lot.
one thing we kinda wish was here is a like place one could really voice things even triggering things. like maybe a vent place or scream one. might be we just not found that one here too. we still learning our way around 7 cup.
@stormieandpaws
Wow! All of that sounds amazing, particularly the safe rooms where everyone can either just chill out or express themselves.
As far as spaces for venting on 7 Cups, the first thing that comes to mind is the Journals & Diaries subcommunity:
